This Blog is going to be mainly focused on my kitchen and what I do in it. As a lot of you may know I am an avid competitor in the Great State Fair of Oklahoma.
Well everyone has asked me over the years how do I come up with the recipes I do. I can safely say I am on the "Creatively Twisted " side when it comes to creating the recipes I do for competition.
I have so many cookbooks right now, that I can sit down and go through them, and take pieces here and there from one recipe or another, and come up with a new recipe to try on family and friends, and if they like it, it goes into the possible section for later use.
I even take some vintage recipes I have found from clippings in the paper, or from friends& family, and I try to find a way to redo them, with a few short cuts sometimes. ( In this day and age who could not use a short cut in this Go-Go-Go society. In the end it is a real blessing when you are making stuff on the fly.)
I hope you will enjoy the postings over time, once I get them going, and you will begin to find your own creatively twisted way around your kitchen and recipes. Who knows something you create now, could become a favorite later.
